To revamp Peter Mark’s image from classic up-market salon to urban salon/retail venue, the design team was tasked with designing a retail store within a salon that would showcase Peter Mark’s hair-care knowledge and appeal to a younger demographic.

The expanded salon puts an emphasis on product purchases, with recommendation panels incorporated into the fixtures. An interchangeable system helps customers make choices based on the stylists’ personal experience. And designers incorporated bold red and orange graphics, red resin screens, edgy graphics and chunky shag-pile carpets on the walls to infuse a funky-chic feel to the primarily white space.
